Tue Oct 15 09:57:35 EDT 2002 Some counters are missing counts. and *sigh* the backup mechanism has failed. Please accept my apologies. For those counters affected, it looks like a few days of counts were lost.

Sat May 4 11:02:21 EDT 2002 I'm way behind in my email. There is an issue with netscape 6.x browsers (browser bug, but I have a work around I'm testing). Some counters are resetting, I'm working on a solution on that too.. thanks.

Fri Sep 7 17:01:02 EDT 2001 11pm last night DSL.net had an outage in this area. I'm not too happy about it. I pay them $600/month for this service. As of 5PM Friday it is still out, and I'm on hold... This effects about 1/3 of the counters.

Wed Aug 29 18:27:55 EDT 2001 Lost a server last night, using backup data on a new machine. It's up and running now, but for some people, you will not notice till later tonight (DNS cache).

There was some problem where the counters for some people weren't working, it was tracked down, and the web server was not running. Sorry, but I didn't reply to everyone.

Sorry! www2 users would have experience an outage. I have fixed the problem.

I had to do an emergency change of ip address of www4 and www5 last night. (it was that, or shut them down). So some people (who regularly check their web site), will see some problem, until your DNS picks up the new address. Rest assured it is working! But if you like, you can change from www4/www5 to www2/www3 (however, you will need to reset to the current value). Or you can ask your ISP to flush your DNS (don't ask me, I don't know how, I just know it can be done). In any case all should be well in a day or so. Thanks!

The move went very smoothly, no reported wierdness, and all servers are running well.

I moved www3 and www6-www10 to new machines. Everything is up and running just fine, but you might notice a little wierdness until the DNS'es are fully updated. This should take about a day (ie until 12:51 on saturday).

All counters up and running fine.

Counter was down for unknown cause.
• Issue Resolved. Technician pulled out keyboard, and machine didn't reboot correctly. Counter coming up shortly. Only some engines are affected.

Counter was down for about 2 hours for maintenance.

One of the counter engines is currently off-line due to networking problems. If your counter is not working, please change the HTML from wwwx.counter.bloke.com to counter.bloke.com
This problem should be resolved Friday morning EST. All other engines are working fine.
